These Red Velvet Pancakes are a fun and tasty breakfast recipe that is paired with a delicious cream cheese fluff that sets them over the top and makes them absolutely delicious!
Pancakes are a recipe that our family cannot get enough of, any style we will take it. These Red Velvet Pancakes are absolutely one of my favorites.
They are slightly over the top, but that is exactly what makes them super special to me. They have this cream cheese filling that is absolutely to die for!
These are a fun recipe any time of the year, but for Valentines especially for us! There is something about Valentine’s Day and all things red velvet to me.
But I’m a huge lover of red velvet anyways so these Red Velvet Pancakes are literally made all year long, especially if we are wanting to make a sweet breakfast.
They are super easy to whip up and they serve a crowd! We like to have some leftovers so we can eat them the next day, I am absolutely not against eating leftovers, especially these.
When it comes to pancakes you really just can’t go wrong with any flavor. Blueberry, banana, whole wheat, chocolate chip, and more.
They are really one of our favorite foods, but if you are looking for something to just go that little extra mile then you are going to want to make these Red Velvet Pancakes.
Some of our other favorite breakfast recipes we have on our site include: Ricotta Pancakes, Baked Chocolate Chip Donut Holes and Overnight French Toast.

- Place on a plate until all pancakes are done. Serve with cream cheese fluff, enjoy!
WHAT DOES RED VELVET TASTE LIKE?
Red velvet has a milk cocoa taste, that is the secret ingredient in red velvet desserts is cocoa powder. They are not a full-on chocolate flavor, just a nice hint.
The most common thing that red velvet is paired with is cream cheese frosting, icing, and more. So you get to great flavors in one.
DO I HAVE TO MAKE THE CREAM CHEESE FLUFF?
No, you do not, if you do not want to make this as a “dessert pancake” then you can absolutely serve this with maple syrup.
We do that often as well, it pairs perfectly with regular syrup. We just absolutely love using the cream cheese fluff!
SOME OF MY OTHER FAVORITE PANCAKE RECIPES:
We love pancakes so much around this house, that we make a variety, here are some of my favorite ones:
- Chocolate Chip Pancakes
- Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes
- Cinnamon Roll Pancakes
- Apple Cinnamon Pancakes
- Banana Pancakes
HOW TO STORE:
To store these Red Velvet Pancakes place the cooled pancakes in an airtight container separated by parchment paper where they will keep for up to 3-4 days.
To reheat, remove from the container and then warm up in the microwave just until warmed through.
You can also freeze these, place them in a freezer container separated by wax or parchment, they should keep for up to 2 months.
Let defrost in the refrigerator then again place in microwave to reheat.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Make sure to use the Original Bisquick Mix.
- If you want the bright red coloring I recommend using gel food coloring, it produces brighter colors.
- You can cut this recipe in half or double it.
- The cream cheese fluff is optional, regular syrup still works great!
- These can be frozen, see my tips above.
