Hi there! I’m Dana DeVolk and I am the lady “behind the curtain”
at This Silly Girl’s Life. A former professional Chef turned blogger, I am a newly wed, a homemaker, a daughter, lover of a good book, Mama to 4 beautiful fur babies and a cookin’ fool! I was born near Chicago, IL and was raised there for the first half of my childhood and the other half was spent in and around Durham, NC. Growing up in a family that always had a passion for cooking, I attended Johnson and Wales University and received my Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. I worked in well known restaurants for 6 + years mostly in management roles. I was transferred from North Carolina to Florida and that is where I am now. After meeting the love of my life, Jeremy, I soon found that my true passion is family. I look forward to the start of the next stage in our lives soon with a few little ones. But, until then I’m having a blast being able to write about my every day life and sharing a few tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way!
I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures as much as I love sharing them with you. If you ever have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me at:

Pingback: A Video... About Me! - This Silly Girl's Life
Nice to meet you Dana! I just wanted to say thanks for linking up to my special About Me Pity Party last week. I loved reading about you! I love that you went to culinary school- I would love to do that someday. Thanks again for linking up!
Thanks so much for hosting!
Love that you made a vlog for your about page! I think it’s a great way to introduce yourself to your readers. I’m going to have to consider doing something similar when I revamp my About Me page…which should be very soon!
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog; glad to have been afforded the opportunity to visit another silly gal out there in blogland.
