How To: Oven Roasted Brussel Sprouts

I love Love LOVE brussel sprouts. But, you already know that about me. Lately hubby and I have been trying to eat a little healthier. So, I tried roasting those little cuties in the oven instead of making my famous (haha) pan seared brussel sprouts. These came out oh so tasty with just a fraction of the fat I use to make the pan seared version. So YUM!

Roasted Brussel Sprouts

This is the easiest thing ever to make. Literally just take them out of the freezer, toss them in 1 Tbls olive oil (or any oil you preper) salt and pepper them to taste. Pop them in a 400 degree oven for about 20-30 minutes and you’re done!

I make half of the family sized bag of frozen brussels at a time for the two of us. So, if you are roasting the whole bag add a little extra oil. I shake the pan half way through the cooking process so they get browned on all sides.

Dinner

These we had with thyme seared chicken with roasted garlic jus and creamy mashed potatoes. Huge hit in this house! Dig in (-:

  1. Dana, I love brussel sprouts too! These look delicious and are making me hungry! Thank you for your nice comment on my Thanksgiving Subway Art. I tried to respond to it via email, but you are coming up as a “no-reply” blogger. Maybe you know this, but if not, just thought I’d tell you!

  2. Thanks for the idea, I love brussel sprouts, too, and roasting is my favorite way to cook vegetables so I will give these a try next time!
