I love Love LOVE brussel sprouts. But, you already know that about me. Lately hubby and I have been trying to eat a little healthier. So, I tried roasting those little cuties in the oven instead of making my famous (haha) pan seared brussel sprouts. These came out oh so tasty with just a fraction of the fat I use to make the pan seared version. So YUM!
This is the easiest thing ever to make. Literally just take them out of the freezer, toss them in 1 Tbls olive oil (or any oil you preper) salt and pepper them to taste. Pop them in a 400 degree oven for about 20-30 minutes and you’re done!
I make half of the family sized bag of frozen brussels at a time for the two of us. So, if you are roasting the whole bag add a little extra oil. I shake the pan half way through the cooking process so they get browned on all sides.
These we had with thyme seared chicken with roasted garlic jus and creamy mashed potatoes. Huge hit in this house! Dig in (-:

What a yummy method for preparing brussels sprouts. I roasted them for the first time last Thanksgiving, and I really liked them that way!

Yum! Thanks for checking out my post!
I love roasting brussels sprouts, but I typically cut them in half and place them on the sheet pan cut side down. Allows them to caramelize even more. Yummo!!

Oh yea, I do that when making my pan seared version. I love them that way too. I don’t cut them for this recipe just because they are straight out the freezer. Thanks for stopping by1
