Hey guys! I know you’ve been anxiously awaiting my recipe for meatballs since seeing my last post for Spaghetti. Well, here it is! These are really great and just get better the longer they simmer in the luscious tomato sauce.
Of course, we will need to gather our ingredients first so here we go:
1 Lbs Ground beef, preferably ground chuck
1/3 Cup Parmesan cheese
1 Tbls Garlic Powder
1 Tbls Onion Powder
1 ea egg
1/2 Cup Bread crumbs, preferable panko
Salt and Pepper to taste
Pre-Heat oven to 400 degrees. Place all ingredients into a large bowl.
Mix throughly with hands to make sure everything is evenly distributed. Do not over mix or meatballs may become tough. Next, roll into balls. I like to keep mine smaller 2-3 bites each. You can make yours as big or little as you like. Place them on a cookie sheet not touching each other.
Place in oven and cook for 30 minutes or until the outside is nicely golden brown.
Do not worry if the inside of the meatball is not cooked through since they will simmer in your desired sauce. Using a spatula remove the meatballs from the tray and place into tomato sauce of your choice. Let simmer in tomato sauce until desired done-ness. I generally simmer for at least 4 hours because I like them extra tender but this is really to your taste. And there you have my recipe for delicious and easy meatballs! Enjoy!
