There is no denying it, the farmhouse decor trend is HOT right now!
For the longest time I just didn’t know what to call my style. Was it country? No. Was it French Country? Kind of. Was it rustic/vintage? Yes but also no. I was so confused for the longest time but I knew what I liked and then the farmhouse decor trend came along and I had a relization. THIS IS IT! Finally after all this time, I have a name to descibre my style.
Now, I know this is not a new “trend” and I personally believe this look and feel of home decor will never go out of style. But, it has just been everywhere lately!
I have been decorating my home(s) like this for years and years now. We are in a relatively new place. We have lived here for 2 years in November (2016) and there was this awkward little section of our living room I just didn’t know what to do with.
We have a VERY open floor plan and if you have that as well you know what I mean by awkward sections. I finally decided on making it into a little reading nook/sitting area. I was on the hunt for some items to fill out that space when Rug Safari Corporation contacted me to do a review. I was pumped! This was one huge piece that I needed for my awkward nook.
I went through a huge list of rugs to choose from and I went for this grey and cream patterened one. I just love it!
With a few other pieces I picked up I think this little nook is so cute! I just love the farmhouse decor style, don’t you?? To me a rug can really make the whole room come together!
