To me, these are best cold but you can serve them right away if desired.
Ingredients
Wild blueberry sauce:
  • 15 oz frozen wild blueberries
  • ½ Cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ Cup water
Cheesecake Bites:
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 Tbls powdered sugar (plus more for garnish)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 15 phyllo shells found in the frozen foods aisle
Instructions
Wild blueberry sauce:
  1. Place blueberries, water and granulated sugar in a sauce pan. Over medium low heat, simmer the berries until it forms a thick sauce, about 20 minutes. Stirring regularly. Let cool.
Cheesecake Bites:
  1. Place cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla in a small bowl. Mash until combined thoroughly. Place mixture into a piping bag or a small plastic baggie with one corner snipped.
  2. Fill phyllo cups evenly with cream cheese mixture. Place dollops of blueberry sauce on top. Garnish with powdered sugar, serve and enjoy!

See how insanely easy that is? They are just so pretty and I think very elegant looking. Best part is, you will always be able to make this sauce with the blueberries in the frozen aisle, score! If you enjoyed this recipe, please check out these others by clicking on the images:
